Jardin du Luxembourg

The Jardin du Luxembourg (The Luxembourg Gardens) is one of the oldest parks in Paris! And it is absolutely beautiful. This is a wonderful example of the French style of gardens, with its rows of trees and flowers, trimmed hedges, immaculate lawns, ponds with fountains, gravel paths, plenty of benches to lounge on. It’s quite the opposite of the English Parc Monceau.

The beautiful Palais du Luxembourg was built in 1627 and remained a palace for Royals until the wicked Revolutionaries turned it into a prison.
It is now the seat of the French Senate.
