Whale’s Eye Arch is less of a hike and more of a playground. I loved the area not because the Whale’s Eye Arch itself was astounding but because the views of the park once you’d scrambled up high were amazing. And you get to explore lots of sandstone rock structures and sandy little bowls. It’s one of the least visited areas due to the high clearance required to reach the spot, but if you want to relax away from the crowds and do some scrambling and exploring, it’s a great place.

But the best part of it all for me, was the view of the rest of the park.

I loved the road out to the Whale’s Eye but I love to drive where there is no road. You’ve been warned.
