Zapata Falls Campground

Zapata Falls Campground sits just below the peaks of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Southern Colorado and south of Great Sand Dunes National Park. The campgrounds have a commanding view of the San Luis Valley, the distant San Juan Mountains, and the beautiful 14er peaks of the Sangre de Cristos. The entrance to the campground is adjacent to the Zapata Falls Trail. The campground sports pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. The campgrounds are quite rocky and at an angle but the views, especially at sunset, are worth it.
