At the northern end of the Million Dollar Highway sits the beautiful, alpine, “Switzerland of America”: Ouray. From the city streets you can see waterfalls, towering peaks, and gorgeous scenery. There are stores, restaurants, and plenty of adventures that start from the old silver and gold mining town. I’ve 0nly stopped once for lunch and to peruse the streets and it was well worth it. Outlaw Restaurant was delicious and I HIGHLY recommend filling your cooler with goods from the Ouray Meat & Cheese Market.
