Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp in Pepper Garlic Sauce)

This delicious Shrimp recipe is a highly adaptable Spanish tapa that’s quick and easy to make.

  • 12 Shrimps peeled and deveined with the tails left on

  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil

  • 1 Tbs Butter

  • 5 Garlic Cloves minced

  • 1 Small Jalapeño thinly sliced

  • Paprika shakes

  • Spices

  • Red Pepper Flakes

  • Juice from 1/4 of Lemon Slice

  • Splash of Brandy

  1. Heat the Olive Oil and Butter in a smaller skillet on medium heat. You don’t want it to be too hot.

  2. Once it gets hot, add the Garlic, Jalapeño, Red Pepper Flakes, and a couple shakes of whatever Spices you want to use. Let them sauté for about a minute. It is absolutely crucial that you do not burn the garlic. It will ruin the whole dish.

  3. After about a minute, crank the heat to high, add the Brandy, Paprika, and Lemon Juice and stir it once before adding the Shrimps.

  4. Now stir it and flip the Shrimps until they’re done.

  5. You definitely don’t want to cook down the Olive Oil, burn the Garlic, or overcook the Shrimp, so once the dish is finished, pour the entire contents from the skillet to your serving dish and enjoy!
