Moab Giants
Moab Giants is an interactive indoor & outdoor Dinosaur Museum that sits at the intersection of 191 & 313 (the road that takes you to Canyonlands National Park: Island in the Sky). It's a fun place mostly for kids, but be warned: the Museum part is severely lacking. The outdoor walk around the Dinosaurs with the plaques & the red mesa walls in the background is worth it if you need a break from hiking, though.
As an adult, $18 a person was quite pricey because again, the museum was just… pathetic. But the outdoor part was fun. My wife and I had a good time even though we would have rather have been hiking. When the weather turns sour or the parks are too busy to enter and you have little ones, it may be a nice spot for a stop, especially if you like Dinosaurs.
Even if I was a little underwhelmed, the excited and happy kids that were running around seemed to be having a great time so it’s probably a great spot for kids. There’s also a little diner that had burgers and fries and such next to the little gift shop.
For a better Dinosaur museum experience, the nearby Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita, Colorado is great. But for an even better museum, The Dinosaur Museum in Blanding, Utah is fantastic! Although it doesn’t open until April 15th. And neither provides outdoor fun.
